Despite her dearth of leading roles, Canadian actress Amy Sloan has been featured in various major film and TV productions. She began appearing in movies and television shows in her homeland, notably starring in the 2002 indie drama "Jack & Ella" before breaking through to Hollywood films with minor parts in the thriller "Gothika" and the disaster movie "The Day After Tomorrow," both shot in Canada. Moving on to American TV shows, Sloan eventually landed a recurring role on hit dramedy series "Gilmore Girls" and later became a regular on the irreverent Canadian show "Call Me Fitz," starring Jason Priestley.
