August 1st – The Princess Bride

The 80s classic The Princess Bride is returning to the big screen, which is the ideal way to watch this cult favourite. Robin Wright stars as Buttercup, a farm girl who has been chosen to wed Prince Humperdinck of Florian. However, Buttercup is still mourning the death of her true love, Westley, and doesn't want to partake in this marriage. This is a great opportunity to relive those iconic scenes and introduce this film to a new generation.

August 4th and 8th– Sherlock Gnomes

This sequel to Gnomeo & Juliet follows the couple as they hire Sherlock Gnomes to investigate the disappearance of other garden ornaments. The voice cast includes Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp and Mary J. Blige, and the soundtrack is exclusively Elton John songs, adding a sense of nostalgia to this fun story.

August 11th and 15th – Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Jumanji got a modern day update last year when this spin-off took the board game into the virtual world. Four teenagers discover a video game called Jumanji, and get sucked into the game, becoming the avatars they've chosen. The only way out is to beat the game together. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart.

August 18th and 22nd – Peter Rabbit

One of our favourite storybook characters, courtesy of the beloved Beatrix Potter, arrived on the big screen earlier this year. Peter Rabbit, voiced by James Corden, spends his days wreaking havoc for Domnhall Gleeson's Thomas McGregor, as he tries to steal from his vegetable garden. He's helped by fellow rabbits voiced by Margot Robbie, Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki.

August 25th and 29th – Paddington 2

Upon its release, Paddington 2 broke the record on Rotten Tomatoes as best reviewed movie on the site, ever. That's not what we'd expect of a children's film that follows a bear in a pea-coat and red hat, but the joyfulness that this film radiates resulted in unanimous praise, and that's something we can't argue. In this sequel, Paddington is trying to get a gift for his aunt's birthday, but encounters trouble when a villainous Hugh Grant steals it.
