Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick dish on their characters in A Simple Favor, from the geeky to the surreal
The two stars play best friends with a twist in Paul Feig's thriller-comedy, A Simple Favor.
With a standout cast and a comedic spin on the suspenseful drama, this highly anticipated film follows a quirky mommy-blogger Stephanie (Kendrick), who quickly befriends the mysterious and gorgeous Emily (Lively). When Emily suddenly disappears, chaos erupts in their small town and Stephanie is determined to uncover the truth behind her friend’s secret life and disappearance.
The film is a departure for Bridesmaids director Feig, the mastermind behind comedy favourites like Spy and The Heat. While A Simple Favor is still unexpectedly funny, Feig plays with the thriller genre, packing plenty of twists and turns that are sure to shock audiences.
We had a chance to speak to Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Paul Feig and Henry Golding about filming the suspenseful flick, and how much fun they had with their characters.
