Synopsis

Born into a middle class Chinese immigrant family and educated at Barnard in the 1930s, the young Grace Lee Boggs noticed the inequities in American society and dedicated the next eight decades to working towards the betterment of all people. At 98, writer, activist and philosopher Boggs has been rooted in the African American movement for over 70 years and has devoted her life to an evolving revolution that encompasses the contradictions of America's past and its potentially radical future.
