Aside from its 430 kilometres of golden sand coasts, Puerto Rico hides a colonial treasure of untold wealth. In the capital city of San Juan, signs of its 16th century origins remain as well as colossal fortresses, earning it a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. Nestled in the Caribbean Sea, this island is a water sports paradise, renowned for diving, sailing and deep-sea fishing. It is also home to one of the rarest bioluminescent bays on the planet, not to mention a massive rainforest and spectacular caves. Even if it is an American territory, its culture and traditions are unique, with a thriving artistic, musical and culinary scene, rich and colourful.
Armenia is home to one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. However, its territory has been shaped over time by the whims of neighbouring forces, whether they be Ottoman, Persian or Russian. Independent again, modern Armenia is rebuilding after 70 years of Soviet rule. It has proudly preserved its rich cultural heritage, as do the descendants of the survivors of the 1915 genocide. Discover its different facets, traces of its presence in eastern Turkey, and the unique architectural history shaped by 17 centuries of Christianity. See Karabakh, a province which became independent after a war with Azerbaijan. Above all, meet the wonderful and proud people of this fierce nation, endowed with an unbelievable vitality, who always warmly welcome visitors with open arms.
For several people, the Yukon represents the end of the world, with its pure, natural untouched wilderness stretching all the way to the Arctic Circle. And they’re right! Home of the Gold Rush, the Yukon is home to many other natural treasures. Seventeen of the highest peaks in Canada, as well as the largest ice fields outside of the ice caps, can be found within its borders, at the Kluane National Park and Reserve. Add to that the amazing midnight sun, Aurora Borealis that stretch as far as the eye can see, and a unique wildlife, these all combine to make this the outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Its origins are still solidly anchored in its history and its vibrant communities continue to forge this land, a land that is even bigger than nature, in ways that defy the imagination.
